The 2020 AVP Huntington Beach Open has been rescheduled to October 2 – 4 in response to the COVID-19 impact and will now be the last stop to conclude the AVP 2020 Pro Tour season.
Since 2000, Huntington Beach has hosted more AVP events than any other location, with this being the 21st straight year that a pro beach volleyball tournament has been played there. The 2019 AVP Teams of the Year, April Ross & Alix Klineman and Taylor Crabb & Jake Gibb, sprayed the champagne and hoisted the trophies as the Huntington Beach Open Champions, launching their monumental season. Will they be able to conclude their 2020 season the same way they started 2019? Only time will tell!
Watch all of the AVP action each day on Amazon Prime Video, where we will be livestreaming three courts with on-court interviews, commentary & analysis from Kevin Barnett, Dain Blanton, & Camryn Irwin, and exclusive athlete segments.
General admission is free, but for an elevated experience at the Huntington Beach Open, VIP tickets can be purchased here. All purchases for the 2020 AVP Huntington Beach Open will be honored for the rescheduled date. If you are unable to attend the events on the new dates, please contact us at tickets@avp.com to request a refund. For developing updates on the COVID-19 impact, head to www.AVP.com/resources.
The 2020 Huntington Beach Open will be made up of 24 Main Draw teams for both men and women — 13 auto entries, 3 Wild Cards, and 8 teams from Thursday’s Qualifiers.
Friday will also host a Stay & Play tournament and the junior AVPFirst Gold event will take place Saturday and Sunday. Sign up in Athlete Corner.
