With this tournament being the only one played in the Eastern timezone, in the nation’s most populous city, the 2020 AVP Gold Series // New York City Open will take place in epic fashion as top AVP athletes from around the nation compete for elevated prize money and points. In the 2019 season, the men’s side saw repeat champions from 2018 as Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena secured their title once again, while the A-Team, April Ross and Alix Klineman, locked in their second title of the 2019 season at the Big Apple. The NYC Open will be made up of 16 Main Draw teams for both men and women — 10 auto entries, 2 Wild Cards, and 4 teams from Thursday’s Qualifiers.
